Court requests Parliament to strip six deputies of immunity

The Skopje-based Criminal Court has sent a request to the Parliament to strip six deputies of their immunity.

Upon the return of Speaker Talat Xhaferi from Sweden, the documents are to be forwarded to Pavle Bogoevski, chairman of the Committee on Rules of Procedures and Mandatory-Immunity Issues, who is supposed to schedule a session, most probably on Wednesday.

Several MPs and about twenty other individuals were detained on Tuesday, out of the 36 persons charged by the public prosecutor’s office with “terrorist threat to the constitutional order and security”, related to the April 27 events in the Parliament.
