Borisov will attend the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Macedonian Jews


Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will attend the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust of Macedonian Jews on Monday in Skopje.

The host, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev together with Borisov will lay flowers at the monument of 7,144 Macedonian Jews, after which their addresses are announced. The President of the Jewish community in Macedonia Berta Romano Nikolic will address the audience. After the march, the delegations will head to the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, where a commemorative session is planned.

Boyko Borisov is the first Bulgarian prime minister to participate in the celebration of the anniversary of the deportation of the Jews from Macedonia. Representatives of the Jewish community in Bulgaria will be present at the official Bulgarian delegation at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Macedonian Jews, BTA said.

Within the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust of the Macedonian Jews in the Second World War, activities in Bitola, Stip and Skopje are planned for tomorrow and Monday.
