Bakoyannis: Name package, not partial solution

Greek opposition party New Democracy says the name dispute should be a package solution, not a partial one. MP and former foreign minister Dora Bakoyannis has also criticized the Greek government over the way it is conducting the negotiations, MIA reports from Athens.

“The Tsipras government has launched the negotiations without knowing the aim. We told the government that the Skopje issue cannot be solved in parts but through a package solution. If irredentist tendencies are not dealt with, nothing is,” Bakoyannis told Radio Criti.

Bakoyannis referred to the 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest, when the national positions were supported by all.

“The government continues to engage in secret diplomacy and through personal contacts of the foreign minister, without informing the public,” added Bakoyannis.
