Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev has withdrawn his proposal to act as finance minister.

“The Constitution and the law do actually permit the prime minister to hold the minister post, but given the debates that this issue has sparked, we need to hear the state commission for the prevention of corruption, the opposition and experts  on this”, Zaev said, adding that this proposal will be withdrawn.

However, debates on cabinet reshuffle continue in parliament, where the opposition has accused the government for failing in many areas.

The PM has proposed a cabinet reshuffle and major changes in departments.
