Mobile phone subscribers drop, service packages on the rise

The number of mobile and landline phone subscribers in Macedonia is dropping, whereas the one of service packages is increasing, says the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC).

As of Q2 of 2017, there are 2,022,678 mobile phone subscribers, almost 27,000 less than the same period in 2016.

The number of landline subscribers is also dropping from 366,575 in Q2 of 2016 to 360,804 in the same period last year.

On the other hand, the number of service package subscribers in the same quarter has risen by 1.15 percent, from 326,160 in 2016 to 329,910 in 2017.

The package including TV, Internet, mobile and landline telephony services has posted a steep growth of 83.61 percent in the abovementioned period.
