Tsipras to meet president, ministers and leaders of political parties over name issue


Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to hold meetings with the president, political leadership of the Foreign Ministry, his coalition partner and leaders of political parties on latest developments in regard to the results of discussions at Davos over the name issue.

According to the Greek media, Tsipras met Friday morning with his coalition partner, Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, and he scheduled mini-ministerial meeting at 3 p.m. at the Prime Minister’s office, which is to be attended by FM Nikos Kotzias and his deputies.

Moreover, Tsipras is to meet President Prokopis Pavlopoulos at 6.30 p.m. to inform him on “developments of national issues.” On Saturday Tsipras will also have meetings with the leaders of the other political parties, MIA reports from Athens.
