EU: Kosovo and Serbia should refrain from provocations

EU spokeswoman, Maja Kocijancic declared today that Brussels’ message for Kosovo’s newly introduced tariffs “is clear” and that the EU expects authorities from Kosovo to withdraw these measures. Meanwhile, the EU official said that both sides should refrain themselves from provocations.

Kocijancic dismissed the comments coming from Pristina, according to which the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini is “biased” and that “she only criticized Kosovo and not Serbia” in the context of the violation of the agreement for the normalization of relations.

“The reaction of the Kosovar authorities is not the right one. There are other ways of addressing these issues”, Kocijancic said.

“We call on leaders of both sides to put an end to provocations and focus on the normalization of relations”, Kocijancic said. /IBNA
