Croatian president Kitarovic against border changes in the Balkans


President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has met in New York with the Croatian president, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.

During this meeting, the pair has discussed about the idea of border changes in the Balkans.

“The meeting with president of Kosovo, Thaci where we discussed the relations between Belgrade and Pristina and the latest idea for border changes, was quite interesting”, said Kitarovic.

“We are very cautious and we have argued that the principles of the Badinter Commission regarding territorial borders in former Yugoslavia should remain unchanged”, she added.

The issue of Kosovo in the UN has also been discussed by representatives of the Serb government. Serbia’s Foreign minister, Ivica Dacic said that Serbia’s priority is to find a solution regarding Kosovo.

Among others, Dacic said that Serbia is a promoter of peace and international security.
