Bushati-McAllister: Opening of negotiations between Albania and EU is in the best interest of both sides

The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati is in Brussels to participate in the meeting of NATO’s Foreign ministers.

During his stay in Brussels, minister Bushati had a meeting with the head of the Committee for Foreign Policy at the European Parliament, David McAllister.

Minister Bushati thanked Mr. McAllister about the constant support offered by the European Parliament regarding the process of integration of Albania in the EU, which has recently been demonstrated with the approval of a positive resolution on Albania.

Minister Bushati briefed Mr. McAllister on the progress of reforms that the Albanian government is undertaking, in particular the reform in justice and the vetting process.

The pair also exchanged opinions on the developments taking place in Western Balkans and the preparations taking place for the next elections of the European Parliament.
