Construction of Blace-Skopje highway to boost Macedonia-Kosovo economic cooperation


Macedonian Economy Minister Kresnik Bekteshi and Kosovo Minister of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Besim Beqaj held talks Wednesday in Skopje on the upcoming construction of the Blace-Skopje highway.

The Macedonian government reviewed the project report yesterday and concluded for the construction works should commence next year, Bekteshi told reporters after the meeting.

The new highway will bring benefit to the citizens and businessmen of both countries, Beqai said, expressing satisfaction with the bilateral economic cooperation.

The ministers also tackled the preparations for a next joint meeting of the governments of both countries, which should contribute to advancing the cooperation.

Bekteshi briefed his guest from Kosovo about the measures under Macedonia’s plan for economic growth, notifying the possibilities a new legislation would offer in support of domestic and foreign investors.
