Zaev: Relations with Russia can be improved in many areas

There is no evidence of direct interference by Russia or any country in the internal affairs of Macedonia. The views of friendly Russia, but also of other friendly countries, are well known. All together they are for the EU, but for NATO, Russia has a different attitude from the EU and the United States.

This was stated by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at a press conference in the Government answering a journalist question.

– But for us, what is important is the views of the majority of citizens of the country, who do not see other alternatives, except full-fledged NATO and EU membership.

He stressed that the numbers are showing over 80 percent support for NATO, and only 5 percent against.

The prime minister noted that relations with Russia could be improved in many areas – the economy, Orthodox Christianity, culture, education, etc., but noted that there is no alternative for NATO and the EU.
