North Macedonia’s PM Zaev at the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Bujar Osmani and Radmila Sekerinska, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, thanked for holding of the Stabilization and Association Council in such significant period for the Republic of North Macedonia. SA Council welcomed the achievements of Prespa Agreement and its full implementation, which are already tangible to all. Upcoming presidential elections were also discussed at the meeting, government press services informs.
Participants at today’s meeting in Brussels agreed that the successful conduct of fair, democratic and free presidential elections is a key priority for the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia. It was also underlined that everyone is expecting a constructive approach and participation of the opposition in the upcoming elections as well as in the reform processes.
The 15th meeting of the Stabilization and Association Council between the Republic of North Macedonia and the European Union (SA Council) took place on Tuesday in Brussels. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev who led the delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia. The meeting co-chaired by The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the Commission Federica Mogherini is considered the first preliminary test of the dynamics of the reform agenda – intelligence services, public administration and judiciary.
