Zaev congratulates Tamara: We haven’t been so proud in a long time


North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev congratulated the country’s Eurovision representative Tamara Todevska after finishing 8th at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Israel.

“Congratulations Tamara, congrats #TeamTamara. These moments of unity you made for us through music are precious. We haven’t been so proud in a long time!,” Zaev wrote in a Facebook post.

Ahead of the final, Zaev called on the country’s friends all across the continent to vote for Tamara Todevska’s Proud.

Todevska finished in eighth place with a total of 295 points. North Macedonia got 12 points from Austria, Great Britain, Albania, Moldova, Serbia and Switzerland. The power ballad about female empowerment all throughout the announcement of points was in the lead.

The Netherlands’ representative Duncan Laurence won the contest with the song Arcade.
