Zaev accepted Mickoski’s challenge to a TV debate

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has accepted challenge from VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski to a television debate, according to government sources.

“One of the fundamental principles of the government is the openness. We constantly communicate with the public in an open manner as well as through debates and duels. PM Zoran Zaev is ready for a TV duel any time with Hristijan Mickoski, because the foundation of democracy is openness and readiness to face political opponents,” stated government spokesman Mile Bosnjakovski

Mickoski, after late night’s session of the party’s Central Committee, called Zaev to a TV debate and discuss name negotiations.

“We should discuss this issue, also Zaev to inform citizens of Macedonia about the ongoing name negotiations. But also to discuss issues related to economy, lack of reforms in education, healthcare, about all wrong policies which are being implemented in the past year,” Mickoski said.

He also announced that VMRO-DPMNE is to organise a protest on June 2 in front of government building in Skopje.
