Warden of the Sutka prison to resign after yesterday’s incidents

Warden of the Sutka prison Gjoko Kotevski accepted the call of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev for his resignation after yesterday’s incidents in the prison yard.

“I am a responsible person and a professional. It is logical to resign when the services fail to perform their tasks. The investigation has identified shortcomings and failure to observe standard security protocols by the prison’s security services. I take the responsibility for this,” Kotevski told the media.

Earlier today, PM Zaev called Kotevski to resign after yesterday’s incidents in the facility’s yard that involved former ministers Mile Janakieski and Spiro Ristovski. The PM condemned the act, saying that the warden would be held responsible regardless of the culprit for the incidents.
