(Video) Zaev offers amnesty for the April 27 violence

It’s time for reconciliation. To put our common national interest above ourselves. We were fed up, divided, because of the behavior of individuals in politics… These are part of the messages sent by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev from the parliamentary rostrum, at the beginning of the debate on the government’s proposal for constitutional changes.

– Let’s make peace. Let’s start from April 27th and the events that happened. Here is a chance to forgive ourselves. Let’s extend our hands, I send a message of reconciliation and forgiveness for April 27, Zaev said.

He urged MPs from the majority and the opposition to sit down and reach an agreement on the issue. He said he was aware that this gesture has a price and that he as a politician was ready to pay that price.

Among the defendants in the April 27 case are five MPs from the VMRO-DPMNE coalition: Krsto Mukoski, Ljupco Dimovski, Ljuben Arnaudov, Johan Tarculovski and Saso Vasilevski.
The Parliament is holding Monday its 61. session on the motion for constitutional revision.
