USAID Assistant Administrator Bierman to visit Macedonia next week

The Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman, will travel to Macedonia and Kosovo next week, MIA reports from Washington.

This will be Bierman’s first visit to the region since taking the office earlier this year, the USAID said in a press release.

In Macedonia Bierman is set to meet with representatives of the government, civil society organizations and the private sector. Discussions will focus on opportunities for strengthening private sector engagement, youth development, and support for independent media.

While in Pristina, Bierman will attend the 10th anniversary celebration of Kosovo’s independence, hosted by the government. He will also meet with donors, entrepreneurs, and representatives from civil society and visit project sites.

Bierman is also set to visit Azerbaijan and Georgia, the press release reads.
