UK House of Lords calls for Macedonia NATO membership even without name deal

The UK House of Lords calls on the government to push Macedonia to join NATO, with or without a solution to the name issue.

The report titled “The UK and the Future of Western Balkans”, which is drafted by the foreign affairs committee of the House of Lords, and is dated from December 2017 and published on January 10, 2018, reads that Macedonia should be aided to join NATO for peace and stability in the region.

The accession should take place regardless of whether the name issue is resolved or not, says the report.
