Stevo Pendarovski is officially SDSM’s presidential candidate

Stevo Pendarovski will be the joint candidate of the government coalition in the forthcoming presidential elections. The leadership of SDSM took a definite position tonight to propose Pendarovski as a presidential candidate. Immediately after the meeting, SDSM leader Zoran Zaev went to a Skopje hotel where the leaders of the SDSM-led coalition expect for additional consultations.

 24 candidates were nominated, among which favorites were Oliver Spasovski, Radmila Sekerinska, Nikola Dimitrov, Gjorgji Filipov and Imer Selmani. Stevo Pendarovski is expected to receive support from DPA led by Menduh Thaci and Alternativa of Afrim Gashi, who are part of the ruling majority.
