Senior NATO and EU Officials visit Macedonia


Prime Minister Zoran Zaev will meet today with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzález and Maciej Popowski, Deputy Director General for Neighborhood Policy and EU Enlargement Negotiations, who will pay a two-day visit to the Republic of Macedonia Macedonia.

According to the government press service, the visit of the two high-ranking NATO and EU officials is of particular importance for recognizing the domestic reform processes implemented by the current Government for integration of the Republic of Macedonia into the Alliance and launching negotiations with the EU.

During the visit, Ambassador Alvargonzález and Popowski will also meet with Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov, as well as with Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers of Defense and Interior Radmila Sekerinska and Oliver Spasovski and Justice Minister Bilen Saliji.

High Representatives of NATO and EC will meet with representatives of civil associations in the EU Info-Center of the EU Delegation in Skopje tomorrow.
