Protest in front of Parliament in Skopje against constitutional changes
The associations called ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Macedonia Blocking’ are staging a protest Wednesday in front of the Macedonian Parliament as a plenary session about the third and final stage of the constitutional revision process is under way.
The street outside the Parliament is completely blocked. Security in the area in downtown Skopje is considerably heightened.
The organizers say the protest will last until midnight.
The protest, according to ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Macedonia Blocking’ is held to ‘defend the Macedonian name, identity, history and tradition of the Macedonian people’ and to condemn ‘the greatest treason in the nation’s history.’
