Protest in defense of the name in the “Macedonia” square

The protest for defending the state name, organized by the movement “Our name is our right”, began at Skopje square “Macedonia” in Skopje. At the gathering will be expressed dissatisfaction with, as they say from the movement, policies that jeopardize the national interests of the Macedonian people.

The protest is held on the same day along with the protests of Diaspora Macedonians in 14 cities around the world: Frankfurt – Germany, Malmo – Sweden, Washington – Sad, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane – Australia, Auckland – New Zealand, The Hague – London – United Kingdom, Kranj – Slovenia, Valletta – Malta, Cannelli – Italy and Prague – Czech Republic.

Organizers announce their inclusion through video cameras with diaspora protests from locations around the world, and organize free transport to Skopje from other cities.

The movement “We are Macedonia” started in January with a symbolic gathering in front of the Macedonian Embassy in Washington, where a declaration was issued for the first time requiring immediate termination of the name talks and the submission of a resolution to the UN General Assembly on the recognition of the constitutional name of the Republic of Macedonia.
