Pendarovski officially takes oath as North Macedonia’s new President


Stevo Pendarovski officially takes oath of office on Sunday during Parliament’s session officially starting his five-year mandate.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by outgoing President Gjorge Ivanov, former President Branko Crvenkovski, wife of former President Boris Trajkovski, Vilma Trajkovska, government officials, Chief of ARM General Staff, Governor of National Bank, religious leaders, judiciary officials, as well as foreign guests including Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian President Ilir Meta and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro Srdjan Darmanovic, Greek Foreign Minister George Katrougalos, Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Maciej Lang, Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and senior official in the cabinet of Slovenia’s President Borut Pahor.

The inauguration ceremony began with the intonation of the Macedonian anthem at the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
