Parliament committee to discuss motion for constitutional revision today

The Parliament’s Committee on Constitutional Issues is set to hold Wednesday a session over the motion for revision of the Constitution.

The committee debate is scheduled to last for ten days at most.

The procedure for constitutional amendments would develop in three stages. In the first, the Parliament is set to adopt, by a two-thirds majority, a decision over the procedure for constitutional changes. The draft-amendments are to be defined during the second, while the third and final stage involves their adoption by at least 80 MPs.

The plenary session over the motion for constitutional revision is scheduled for Monday.
