Following Saturday’s violent clashes in the capital Tirana, opposition in Albania is getting ready for yet another big demonstration.
The head of the main opposition party, Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has launched a public call for people to join this anti-government demonstration.
The democrat leader has also published a video, saying that nothing can stop Albanians who fight for freedom and European standards.
“Hope is alive. Today we’re stronger than ever. There’s no turning back!”, the message says.
Meanwhile, the video ends with the call: Let’s rise against crime and violence! Let’s make Albania like the rest of Europe!
Saturday’s clashes resulted in demonstrators throwing fire bombs to the prime minister’s office and the arrest of a significant number of protesters by police.
