North Macedonia gains 23 spots in the World Peace Index


North Macedonia has gained 23 spots in the World Peace Index compared to last year, while sharing the 65th position with Greece. Among the 25 top countries on the list, 17 countries are in Europe. For 11 years in a row, Iceland has been considered as the safest country to live in, while Afghanistan ranks last, the same as a year ago.

According to this index, the world in 2019 is safer than in the last five years.

As far as the region is concerned, Romania ranks 25th, Bulgaria ranks 26th, Croatia ranks 28th, Serbia ranks 5th, Albania 51st, Montenegro 67th, Bosnia and Herzegovina 81st and Kosovo ranks 86th.
