North Macedonia gains 23 spots in the World Peace Index

North Macedonia has gained 23 spots in the World Peace Index compared to last year, while sharing the 65^th position with Greece. Among the 25 top countries on the list, 17 countries are in Europe. For 11 years in a row, Iceland has been considered as the safest country to live in, while Afghanistan ranks last, the same as a year ago.

According to this index, the world in 2019 is safer than in the last five years.

As far as the region is concerned, Romania ranks 25^th, Bulgaria ranks 26^th, Croatia ranks 28^th, Serbia ranks 5^th, Albania 51^st, Montenegro 67^th, Bosnia and Herzegovina 81^st and Kosovo ranks 86^th.
