“Nezavisen” is not the source for “Upper Macedonia”

Certain media today called on “Nezavisen/Independent” daily newspaper, announcing information on name negotiations with Greece. We,  the newspaper and  the “Nezavisen” news site, disagree with the presented contents, not getting in the way whether they are correct or not, because we are not the source and are not published by us. What “Nezavisen” published is the following:

“It is unofficially learned that Athens has retired from the proposal for a compound name without translation, something that was previously called absurd. Unofficially, the formulation of the language with the “asterisk” is also being worked out, ie by explaining its Slavic origins as a solution to the problem. The biggest obstacle remains Athens’s demand to change the Constitution and to insert a new name within the variants that are being heard.”
