New “Republic of North Macedonia” signboard placed on southern border

The new name Republic of North Macedonia was placed at the Bogorodica border crossing with Greece on Wednesday. A sticker has been put on the already existing signboard, including the new name written in Macedonian and English language.

Customs Administration manager Gjoko Tanasoski said signboards at other border crossings will be replaced during the day.

He explained that considering the short time required for the tendering procedures, but taking into account the Government’s conclusions, the signboards will be replaced with stickers where possible and by replacing the signboard itself. The Government concluded yesterday that the signboards at border crossings should be replaced within three days.
