Name talks in focus of Zaev-Tsipras meeting in Davos

Issues related to the name talks will be in the focus of a meeting between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras, held at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday.

This will be the first direct meeting of the countries’ prime ministers after the shift of power in Macedonia and the recent renewal of the name talks. The meeting is scheduled at 13:00h.

Talks are expected to continue at the beginning of February, this time between the countries’ foreign ministers.

On Friday, PM Zaev is scheduled to meet with Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, and WEF Head of Europe and Eurasia department Martina Larkin.

During the Davos summit, the PM will take part at panels and meetings with global business leaders and officials from the region, EU and the US.
