Members of the Macedonian Parliament to visit NATO HQ


Members of the Macedonian Parliament will pay a working visit Feb. 4-5 to NATO HQ and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Brussels at the invitation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Secretariat.

Members of the Delegation of the Macedonian Parliament to the NATO PA and the members of the Committee on Defence and Security and the Foreign Policy Committee are included in the delegation.

The visit aims at providing detailed insight into the processes and policies of NATO and SHAPE, including the relations that the Alliance develops with its partners. Working meetings at NATO headquarters and in SHAPE will focus on issues related to NATO and the Western Balkans, NATO-Russia relations and countering hybrid warfare, reads the Parliament’s statement.

Members of Parliament along with permanent representatives to NATO from Slovenia, Croatia and Estonia will have the opportunity to discuss on “National perspective of NATO and cooperation with the Western Balkans.”
