Macron to hold a video address before the referendum

French President Emmanuel Macron will hold a speech in front of the Macedonian public in the coming days. His address for support of the referendum is expected on Independence Day – September 8th, when German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be in Skopje.

In addition to all the European leaders who are coming in the country these days and those who are expected in the coming weeks, the French president will also contribute to the diplomatic support.

His address was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Andrei Zernovski, through a message on the social media, after meeting with the French ambassador in Skopje, Christian Thimonier.

– After meeting with French Ambassador Thimonier, I am even more optimistic about the Euro-Atlantic future of our country. The great news is that French President Macron will hold a video address to the Macedonian citizens with support for the referendum, Zernovski wrote.
