‘Macedonia Blocking’ wants their representatives to attend session on constitutional revision

Members of the ‘Macedonia Blocking’ organization, currently staging a protest in front of the Parliament against the constitutional changes, asked the police to allow three of their officials to attend the plenary session and to convey to the MPs the messages of the protesters.

Earlier in the day, the session was postponed and scheduled at 16h.

“I call on the MPs to get out here and to join us. Money is spent, but they will go down in history as traitors. Macedonia will survive, Macedonia has been and will always be,” said Dragan Ugrinovski of ‘Macedonia Blocking’.

Zarko Grozdanovski of the Christian Brotherhood organization urged President Gjorge Ivanov to join the protest and to declare a state of emergency.

The leader of the United Macedonia party, Janko Bacev stated that a party member had gone to the President’s Office for talks with Ivanov.

Wednesday’s protest is organized by the organizations ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Macedonia Blocking’. The street outside the Parliament is completely blocked. Security in the area in downtown Skopje is considerably heightened.
