Macedonia apologizes to a German national who was delivered to CIA
Official authorities in Macedonia have apologized to a German national of Arabian origins. Authorities say that Khaled El-Masri had been arrested and delivered to the US authorities as part of the CIA’s secret program. The Ministry of Interior said that it has apologized to the German national.
Masri was arrested 14 years ago in the Airport of Skopje and three weeks after being interrogated by Macedonian authorities, he was delivered to the CIA, which then transferred him to Afghanistan.
