Launch of USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project

Improvement of interethnic integration through enabling positive interactions among ethnically diverse youth at school and community level, and improving civic education contents, skills and behaviors, and volunteering practices of youth is the objective of the USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project, to be launched in Skopje on Friday.

The five-year project worth US$ 5,8 million is implemented by the Macedonian Civic Education Center.

The project is comprised of three components: strengthening interethnic cohesion in the education system; strengthening democratic culture and civic behaviors among youth; and provision of incentives to deserving communities (schools renovations).
