Judicial Council to debate 110 filings for dismissal of judges

The Judicial Council is set to discuss 110 motions for dismissal of judges, most of which filed by the now defunct Council for Establishment of Facts.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office, lawyers and other parties in the legal procedure have also filed motions for the dismissal of judges from a number of courts, including those of the Supreme Court.

The Judicial Council will start discussing the motions at a session to take place on Thursday. It will designate authorized representatives for filing dismissal motions from the completed and uncompleted procedures by the Council for Establishment of Facts prior to its dissolving by the end of 2017.
