IMF reduces projection for Macedonia’s GDP growth


Macedonia’s economic growth in 2018 is projected at 1.6 percent, says the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its autumn report “World Economic Outlook”.

The previous IMF projection stood at 2.8 percent.

The IMF projects a 2.6-percent growth in 2019, rising to 3.4 percent by 2023.

In regional terms, Albania, Serbia and Kosovo are set to post the highest GDP growth in 2018 – 4 percent, followed by Montenegro (3.7%), Bulgaria (3.6%), Bosnia-Herzegovina (3.2%) and Croatia (2.8%).
