Gruevski believes the crime he is charged with in “Tenk” to be outdated

The verdict has numerous shortcomings, primarily serious violations in the procedure, and major violations have been made in the Criminal Code, said the lawyer Sterio Zikov, explaining the appeal to the trial court of the Appellate Court for Gjoko Popovski in the “Tenk” case.

According to him, there are violations of the criminal procedure in the incorrect presentation of the material evidence, which the judge allowed to read as titles in the list of evidence, and not content that is contrary to the Law on Criminal Procedure.

Zikov complained to the trial chamber of the Court of Appeal on the expertise related to this case, saying it was too expensive.

– The precedent is two expert reports of 10 pages, for which I pay in practice from 100 to 200 euro, the SPP paid 2,500 euro, or a total of 5,000 euro, said Zikov.

After the first-instance verdict for “Tenk”, six complaints were lodged, four from Gruevski’s lawyers, one personally from Gruevski and one from Gjoko Popovski.

Judge Rapporteur Tanja Mileva at the session read the four complaints from the lawyers and from Gruevski, and the lawyer Sterio Zikov explained the appeal of Gjoko Popovski.

In Gruevski’s complaint, it was stated that in February 2018, the crime he is being charged became outdated because the telephone conversation in question was made on February 26th, 2012.

The complaint stated that the verdict was vague and contradictory, which required the annulment of the verdict of the first instance court.
