Government announces new measure of wage growth


Prime Minister Zoran Zaev after Tuesday’s session of the Economic Social Council announced new measure of wage growth.

Zaev told press briefing in the government that measure includes direct financial support of 30 percent of the increase in the gross wages of workers in labor intensive industries.

Around 15.000 companies and 50.000 workers meet the requirements of this measure, he said.

The goal is one – wages to increase and citizens to have more money, Zaev said, appealing to companies to raise wages and apply for government measures because the state is here to help.

Labour Minister Mila Carovska and Finance Minister Dragan Tevdovski are to address the press briefing in attendance of President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia Darko Dimovski and President of the Organisation of Employers of Macedonia Angel Dimitrov.
