Financial police search in Ljuboten for smuggling and customs fraud

Several media reported it was allegedly an operation to suppress tobacco smuggling.

The Financial Police Directorate said it was in the interest of the investigation not to reveal details about the crackdown to the public for the time being.

“We expect locals to cooperate in the interest of resolving the case. The public will be informed in due time about the outcome of the action undertaken,” the press release reads.
