European Commisssion: Accountability for illegal wiretaps and solution for SPO’s status
“The EU takes note of Ms Katica Janeva’s announcements of her intention to step down as Special Prosecutor,” reads the EU statement.
The EC, it says, reiterates the importance of all parliamentary political parties working towards finding a sustainable solution for the status of the Special Prosecutor’s Office.
The EC recalls the importance of continuing to establish the legal accountability for the crimes arising and surrounding the illegal wiretaps.
