EU member states cast their final vote in EU parliamentary elections


Elections for the European Parliament are held today in most member states of the European Union.

Countries such as Croatia, Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Malta, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Estonia and Lithuania in Hungary are voting today for Members of the European Parliament.

The European elections were already held on Thursday in the Netherlands and the UK, the Irish and the Czechs voted on Friday, and Latvia, Malta and Slovakia cast their votes yestrday.

The results of each member state will be announced tonight after the closing of the last polling station in Europe, or after the closing the voting in Italy at 23 o’clock.

European parliamentary elections are also the beginning of the electoral process for new leading positions in the EU and are held every five years simulatenously in all member states of the European Union.
