Two hundred companies with German capital employ 20,000 Macedonians
Over 20,000 people in Macedonia work in about 200 companies with German capital. The economic cooperation between the two countries is at a high level, which is proof of the trade exchange of 3.15 billion euros last year, stated Zorica Apostolska, the minister without portfolio in charge of foreign investments, and the German ambassador Thomas Gerberich at the meeting in the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in Skopje.

Apostolska and Gerberich discussed the possibilities for promoting economic and trade relations between the two countries, and greater use of the potentials for investment in the Republic of Macedonia by German companies.

According to Ambassador Gerberich, the stabilization of the political climate, the work of the reform process, the provision of legal certainty in particular, are important factors for German companies to invest in Macedonia. He expects that the positive trend in the economic relations between the two countries will continue.

Minister Apostolska informed Grerberich that the Law on Financial Investment Support recently came into force, which provides stimulation and support to foreign and domestic companies, in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner, to start new investments in the country.
