Dismissal of Katica Janeva to be discussed on Thursday
After ayesterday’s eight-hour session, Council President Kole Shteriev said its members had only managed to analyze the slew of documents handed over to the prosecutors in connection to the Racket investigation after Janeva had been put in detention as one of the suspects. Shteriev said today’s session was unusually long.
“The session took a long time because we’ve never had to face such a situation in which a head of a public prosecution office has been ordered pre-trail detention,” he told reporters, refraining from commenting on whether the Council’s members had to iron out differences.
