Dimitrov: “Future” and “Europe” are two synonymous words

 Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov has told counterparts at the conference “Future of Europe” that EU candidate countries from the Balkans consider words ‘future’ and ‘Europe’ as synonyms.

“For us on the Balkans, the candidate-states and and aspirants, the future of Europe, the two words from the session title are almost synonyms. When we think about our future, we think about Europe, and when we think about Europe, we think about our future. It also feels like we are trying to catch a moving target”, FM Dimitrov told a meeting of Balkan and Visegrad FMs, which takes place in Sounio.
The meeting includes the foreign ministers of Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Albania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania.
