Court orders 30-day detention for Janakieski and Ristoski

Court judge from a previous procedure has ordered 30-day detention for former Minister of transport and communications Mile Janakieski and former Minister of labor and social policy Spiro Ristoski, who are suspected of organizing the April 27 violent events in the Parliament.

The detention order was given to the former ministers due to flight risk and influence on the investigation.

Former Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski, who is also among the suspects, was not detained because of his MP immunity.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption has identified two other suspects in the case, Nikola Gruevski and Nikola Boskovski, which are unavailable to the prosecution.
