Companies in North Macedonia interested to see successful presidential elections

Companies and businesses in North Macedonia say that they are hoping for the presidential elections to be successful, otherwise, any other alternative that could generate a crisis, may be bad for the country’s economy.

“It’s hard for companies to realize their investments if there’s a new political crisis. If minimum turnout in the second round is not met, then the country may face political instability and economic uncertainties”, says Nebi Hoxha, head of Northwest Macedonia Chamber of Commerce.

Economic analysts also say that the failure of the presidential elections would generate a political crisis, which would be reflected on the country’s economy. According to them, if the country succeeds in electing a president on May 5, then impact for businesses will be a positive one.
