Average salary up 3.6 percent in November: statistics

 The average monthly net wage paid per employee in November, compared to the same month in 2016, is up by 3.6 percent, says the State Statistical Office.

The average monthly net wage paid per employee in November was MKD 23,196 (EUR 377).

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Manufacturing (8.9%), Accommodation and food service activities (8.7%) and Agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.6%).

A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (15.8%), Transportation and storage (5.9%) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (4.3%).

In November 2017, 1.1% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
