An expert from Germany will advise, the government will be paying for him

The government will receive a German adviser as direct help from Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cabinet. He, together with our ministers, should work to adjust the economic reforms to the requirements for entry into the European Union, as well as to reduce unemployment through re-qualification of the unemployed. Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced that a German adviser should arrive by the end of the year, and will be paid by the government.

At the same time, the cooperation with Germany will be deepened with the establishment of a steering committee, a body comprising representatives of the two governments, through which Macedonia will receive direct assistance to obtain grants, loans, and projects.

“The exchange with Germany amounts to 3,6 billion dollars and 2,7 billion come from export, meaning 47% of Macedonia’s exports are in Germany. There are more than 200 German companies in Macedonia that create about 20.000 jobs. We will make the necessary tools to assist the development of this progress, we want in 2018 the exchange to reach $4 billion, and even more, “Zaev said.
