Ambassador Pryatt: Great progress made in negotiations

Great progress made in negotiations We believe that great progress has been made in the negotiations and we hope that this progress can be maintained, but time will tell, US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt said, Greek news agency ANA-MPA reports.

Pyatt spoke at the event in Thessaloniki before graduated students at American Universities and answering questions from the audience he mentioned the talks between Macedonia and Greece. He reiterated that the US supports the efforts in findings a solution from Matthew Nimetz but also from prime ministers and foreign ministers of the two countries, MIA’s corresponded from Athens reports.

We strongly believe that it is in the interest of both countries to resolve this issue, after such a long time, and also we recognise that only viable solution will be the one which will be supported by democratically elected governments of two countries, Pyatt said, adding that US side has great confidence in the spirit that is being given in negotiations by Kotzias and Tsipras, ANA-MPA reports.
