Alexis Tsipras to attend the Economist conference in Skopje – Meeting with Zoran Zaev


SYRIZA President Alexis Tsipras travels to Skopje on Monday, September 30, to attend a conference organized by the Economist magazine: “Western Balkans Summit – Enhancing the momentum for European integration”.

In particular, according to an announcement by SYRIZA, on Monday afternoon at 18.00, Alexis Tsipras will meet with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev.

On Tuesday morning, at 10:00, Tsipras will speak at a conference entitled “The Next Steps to European Integration for the Western Balkans – How the Balkan landscape is formed after the Prespa Agreement”, with the participation of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, and the former President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz.

According to associates of the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras will stress the importance of the Agreement, for stability in the region and the revitalization of the Western Balkans’ accession prospects. At the same time, as Tsipras’ associates add, he will underline the value of continuing Greece’s active foreign policy in the Balkans and the promotion Greece-North Macedonia relations, both for the region and Europe.
